Culture: Michael B. Jordan Joins Marvel’s “The Black Panther” Film

Back in January, Marvel announced that Roger Coogler will be directing their upcoming film The Black Panther. So it was not shocking to hear about Michael B. Jordan joining the cast of Black Panther.  The two have already collaborated in successful films like ‘Fruitvale Station” and last year’s “Creed.” So, although Chadwick Boseman was already signed on to play the title character Black Panther, it seemed a role would pop up for Jordan. Fans are not sure exactly what role he was chosen for but it is rumored that the “Creed” star will likely play a Marvel villain.

News broke about Jordan after Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o was in talks of joining the cast. If all three of Hollywood’s newest black stars(Boseman,Nyong’o, and Jordan) collaborate in this film, this might led to become one of Marvel’s best and heavyweight teams ever assembled to bring one of its comics to life.

“The Black Panther” has already gotten off to a fresh start in the new “Captain America: Civil War” film. Critics have praised Chadwick Boseman’s perfomance, stating that his portrayal of the superhero was spectacular and one of  the film’s highlights.

Marvel’s upcoming film “The Black Panther” will be in theaters on February 16, 2018.
