2015 has been the year virtual reality. The release of the Shot Virtual reality lens for iPhone, has taken the ability to shoot with the VR lens and provided it in the hands of everyone. The Shot lens attachment consists of two ultra-wide angle lenses for both of the iPhones front and back cameras, produce 360-degree photos made from stitching together images from both cameras, and 235-degree videos shot using the rear camera.
To view your VR content, Shot has provided the Google Cardboard kit that ships with the lens and an accompanying social network like Instagram. The social network was made for users to share their VR content, to receive likes, and view what others post. Made compatible with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, the Shot Virtual Reality Lens will be available in April 2016, but only if it reaches its crowdfunding goal of $100,000. You can contribute to the brand’s crowdfunding goal on Kickstarter.com.
