Designer Christopher Shannon is set to begin working on a 15-look womenswear collection for spring. Shannon had recently shared with Style.com, that his next vision would be womenswear. For his womenswear looks, he wanted to make sure not to duplicate what was done for his mens’ collection. Instead, he wanted a “Female counterpart” for the Christopher Shannon guy.
“I think she would be a slightly bullish older sister,” Shannon shared with Style.com.
The womenswear collection will include sweatshirts, miniskirts in velvet, and athletic track pants that will include a feminine edge. Shannon also spoke about having the women’s line launch around the time of the release of the brand’s online store.
What do you think about the designers decision to create a womenswear collection?
